Snowboarders For Christ is a recognized movement of Christians with a specific specialized calling to the snowboarding and skiing community. Snowboarders and Skiers For Christ is an international non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ in mountain towns all over the world. SFC's main thrust is to show the love of Christ through everyday interactions with people. Through "Friendship Evangelism" as it's been dubbed, SFC hopes to promote a genuine concern for all people as a way of life. SFC also seeks to become a support system for young people our local churches, because creating a community feel amongst all believers is an important step to achieving Christian unity. As a whole, SFC feels that the body of Christ should be unified and working together in harmony to reach their community effectively.
SFC is all about "Community."
If I had to boil it down, it could be boiled down to this: SFC is a group of young adults working hard to be involved with several local churches in our area. We love to shred and be out on the mountain meeting people and making relationships. We continue to build relationships and encourage people to get involved with SFC and in the local body of believers.
God gives us all gifts and talents to use for Him, and that's how we try to work together as a community to reach out and serve in ways that will change lives.
Romans 12:4 says, "In this way we are like the various parts of a human body. Each part gets its meaning from the body as a whole, not the other way around. The body we're talking about is Christ's body of chosen people. Each of us finds our meaning and function as a part of his body."
